Kawartha Wilds Pottery by Lucia McHardy

For the past eight years, I've been working with clay in  my small hand building studio. Most of my pots are stoneware; when I have some energy and help, I also do raku and smoke firing.

Before my illness, I used clay as a primary vehicle when I worked as an art therapist. When I started potting again, my head couldn't remember how to do things, but my hands did!

My clay studio has been a life line. No matter how sick I am, there is usually something I can manage to do. It lets me enter a world where my symptoms fade into the background, and allows me to feel peaceful and whole again.

I SELL MY POTTERY THROUGH THESE VENUES:
